Arsenal head back to the Estadio Montilivi to kick off their preseason schedule this summer, taking on recently-relegated Girona on Saturday night.
The Gunners previously visited this corner of Catalonia at the conclusion of Girona's inaugural Champions League campaign two years ago. A spectacular strike from Ethan Nwaneri helped Mikel Arteta's men secure a win to close out the league stage, as Girona fell short of reaching the knockout phase.
Girona have since tumbled down to La Liga 2 and are now under the guidance of Quique Álvarez, elevated from the youth setup following the exit of former manager Michel. The relegation came as a stunning blow last season, drawing the curtain on what had been the most successful chapter in the club's recent history.
Arsenal are equally riding a wave of success, entering the summer as Premier League title holders. That said, defending the crown in 2025–26 will be no easy feat, with only Manchester City having managed back-to-back titles since 2009.

Arsenal.com will be streaming all of the club's preseason games, with individual match passes available for £6.99 ($9.42).
There's also the option to purchase a preseason bundle covering all four matches, priced at £9.99 ($13.47) as part of an early bird promotion. Once that offer ends at 9 a.m. BST on August 1, the price will increase to £14.99 ($20.21).
DAZN will be broadcasting the friendly across multiple regions worldwide, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
Fox Sports and fuboTV will also be streaming Saturday's game in the United States.

Arsenal face a packed schedule in the weeks leading up to the Community Shield on Aug. 16, before launching their Premier League title defense against newly promoted Coventry City the following Friday evening.
The Gunners have three additional friendlies lined up over the next 12 days, beginning with Real Betis on Aug. 5. They then take on Borussia Dortmund in the Emirates Cup on Aug. 9, before hosting Cesc Fàbregas's Como on Aug. 12.
