Manchester City must end their two-game losing run in the Premier League when they travel to a struggling Nottingham Forest side this Saturday, or risk dropping further behind league leaders Arsenal.
The Cityzens have lost top spot following consecutive defeats to Aston Villa and Brighton & Hove Albion, though spirits were lifted midweek after a 3–2 Champions League victory over RB Leipzig. An unimaginable third straight loss could leave them six points adrift of Arsenal heading into the international break.
Enzo Maresca demands a response from his squad at the City Ground, and multiple changes may be made from the team that claimed victory in Germany on Wednesday. One certainty, however, is that Premier League leading scorer Erling Haaland will spearhead the push for three vital points.
Here's how City could line up.
Man City Predicted Lineup vs. Nottingham Forest

GK: Gianluigi Donnarumma—After committing yet another error in Leipzig, Donnarumma is in need of a flawless display against Forest. Notably, Maresca has continued to show faith in his embattled shot-stopper.
RB: Matheus Nunes—Nunes was the culprit whose mistake proved decisive in last weekend's narrow defeat to Brighton, and, much like the goalkeeper behind him, he must raise his game at the City Ground.
CB: Rúben Dias—City have gone seven matches without a clean sheet, and their poor defensive record could prove pivotal in the title race. Dias's leadership and composure are needed now more than ever.
CB: Marc Guéhi—Competing with Abdukodir Khusanov for a starting berth against Forest, Guéhi is another City defender who has been prone to errors over the past month. Fortunately for him, Forest are the division's lowest scorers and have yet to net at home.
LB: Joško Gvardiol—Maresca has stated that Nico O'Reilly's England absence is down to the player needing more time to recover from recent injury problems, and another rest could be on the cards against Forest as Gvardiol slots back into the side.
CM: Elliot Anderson—Anderson returns to his former club Forest having made an outstanding start to his City career in the holding midfield role. Having celebrated his 24th birthday on Friday, he'll be looking for a slightly belated birthday gift.
Pick Your Man City XI!
CM: Enzo Fernández—The Argentine has been somewhat overshadowed by midfield partner Anderson in his early days at City, but he impressed midweek with an energetic, goal-scoring outing at Leipzig.
RW: Iliman Ndiaye—Antoine Semenyo's injury has created an opening for Ndiaye, who has seized his chance emphatically. The dynamic winger was City's most dangerous attacking outlet during both of their frustrating league losses.
AM: Rayan Cherki—The Frenchman's stunning effort against Liverpool is among the contenders for the Premier League's Goal of the Month award for October, serving as yet another testament to Cherki's individual quality.
LW: Jérémy Doku—Having featured for just half an hour against Leipzig, Doku should arrive refreshed for the trip to the Midlands. The Belgian's blistering pace will pose serious problems for Oliver Glasner's side.
ST: Erling Haaland—Haaland has the chance to snap his four-game scoring drought against Forest on Saturday, while also continuing his remarkable record of finding the net in every one of City's away fixtures this season.
