"I had so much I wanted to express...," Neymar wrote on X Wednesday afternoon. "Now I'll address you all directly. I just uploaded a video to my YouTube channel documenting what these recent days have been like."
Through his channel, the Brazilian forward, who overtook Pelé in 2023 as the country's record goalscorer, revealed his unfiltered response upon learning of Ancelotti's squad selection.
"Hey Ancelotti, what about me?" Neymar can be heard asking, while positioned on a treatment table in the medical room.
"We didn't get the call-up," he continues in the footage. "I'm disappointed, naturally. I'll always support the national team, you know? Everything's okay. Now, it's about continuing to work. Keep getting better."

Neymar was excluded from the squad due to physical condition concerns following knee surgery in December that sidelined him until February. Nevertheless, since returning to action last month, Neymar has excelled for Santos, contributing two goals and two assists across his previous four matches.
"Neymar isn't at full fitness and that's why he's not included," Ancelotti explained on Monday.
Ancelotti observed Santos' encounter with Mirassol on March 10, a 2–2 tie that Neymar missed due to "something routine ... a tight hamstring," as the player described it.

Neymar has featured for Brazil in World Cup competition since 2014, netting eight goals across 13 matches in the three tournaments.
"Clearly, this is my final World Cup," Neymar stated on his YouTube channel.
"I'm uncertain if this is my last year with the national team, but the end is approaching, and we must accept that reality. I constantly remind my friends, my family, 'Savor it while you can. Continue watching the matches because it will conclude.'"
While Neymar acknowledges his career is winding down, he remains confident in his ability to contribute to Brazil as the team prepares to meet Morocco, Haiti and Scotland in World Cup Group C this summer.
"I can contribute to the national team," he stated. "I can assist in every possible way. I understand my abilities, and I recognize my impact on the pitch. I know I can enhance the squad. Naturally, I desire to participate in the World Cup. This situation certainly affects me."
Ancelotti is anticipated to finalize his squad selections in May.
