Wrexham chief executive Michael Williamson has described the prospect of facing Liverpool at Yankee Stadium in New York later this month as "mind-blowing."
The Red Dragons kick off their summer preseason schedule this weekend with a pair of matches in Europe before crossing the Atlantic to the United States, where three additional games await.
The tour marks Wrexham's third trip to the United States—and their first since 2024—featuring fixtures against Premier League outfits Leeds United, Liverpool, and Sunderland.
Phil Parkinson's squad opens the summer with a friendly against Wisła Kraków in Poland on Saturday, followed by a clash with Manchester United in Finland the next weekend. The club then travels stateside to take on Leeds in Tampa and Liverpool in New York before rounding out preseason against Sunderland in Philadelphia.
Wrexham achieved the best league finish in the club's history by placing seventh in the Championship last season and hopes the preseason itinerary will strike the right balance between competitive preparation and meaningful commercial exposure.
"A full preseason will be really important," Williamson told The Leader.
"Over the past few years, we've had friendlies against Manchester United and Chelsea, and this year is fantastic because there's Kraków, which I think will be an amazing experience for both our supporters and our players.
"It's going to be a vibrant atmosphere, and it's great that it's here in Europe, where a lot of our fans will be able to travel, make a short trip of it, and enjoy cheering on the club.
"Manchester United in Helsinki is another extraordinary opportunity, and it's a storied venue to be playing at. Then we head back to the U.S., fresh off the World Cup, with games in Tampa, New York, and Philadelphia against strong sides like Leeds, Liverpool, and Sunderland.
"Having three really competitive matches against top Premier League clubs is going to be tremendously exciting. I still have to pinch myself every now and then because it's extraordinary to consider how far we've come.
"Liverpool at Yankee Stadium is mind-blowing when you reflect on the journey we've been on.
"That preparation is going to be crucial to hitting the ground running at the start of the season, which wasn't something we were really able to do at the beginning of last season due to all the changes."
