After a rocky beginning to Andoni Iraola's tenure, Liverpool are showing signs of improvement following back-to-back wins.
The Reds built on their first domestic victory of the campaign against Ipswich Town by defeating Atlético Madrid 2–1 in their Champions League curtain-raiser on Wednesday. Though still far from flawless, there were more positive indicators for the Reds, particularly in the second half.
Liverpool must now refocus on Premier League matters, with Fulham heading to Anfield on Saturday under the stewardship of former player Álvaro Arbeloa. The Cottagers may have dropped all three of their league fixtures so far, but they are more than capable of causing problems on Merseyside.
Here's how Liverpool could set up for the match.
Liverpool Predicted Lineup vs. Fulham
GK: Alisson—The Brazilian, surprisingly left out by Carlo Ancelotti from the latest national team squad, produced an absolutely breathtaking fingertip save against Atlético. A timely reminder of his extraordinary ability.
RB: Ronald Araújo—The Barcelona loanee has firmly established himself at right back. Outstanding performances against Ipswich and Atléti have seen him leapfrog the struggling Jeremie Frimpong in the defensive hierarchy.
CB: Jérémy Jacquet—Growing stronger with every game, Jacquet continues to make a strong impression early in his Liverpool career. The 21-year-old is looking like the genuine article.
CB: Virgil van Dijk—Only Granit Xhaka (7.7) has averaged more accurate long passes than Van Dijk (6.7) this season. The Dutchman's precise cross-field distribution remains vital to Liverpool's attacking build-up play.
LB: Milos Kerkez—The Hungarian has endured another unconvincing start to a season with the Reds and rarely looks composed. Fulham may look to exploit him as a consequence.
CM: Dominik Szoboszlai—Szoboszlai netted his second goal of the season during yet another energetic display against Atléti. He will be among those most thankful for Araújo's form, as it allows him to operate in his favored midfield role rather than being deployed at right back as emergency cover.

CM: Alexis Mac Allister—The Argentine has spoken openly about his disappointment at not being offered a new Liverpool contract, but his current performances will certainly prompt the club to open talks. He has returned to his best in the middle of the park and struck a powerful winner in midweek.
RW: Victor Muñoz—With Cody Gakpo a fitness concern and Rio Ngumoha having featured midweek, Iraola should hand Muñoz a return to the starting eleven.
AM: Florian Wirtz—No player covered more distance than Wirtz (7.52 miles) in the contest against Atléti, underscoring the influence Iraola's high-pressing system is having on the creative midfielder.
LW: Bradley Barcola—Iraola has confirmed that Barcola only experienced cramp when he was substituted in the hour mark against Atléti. "He should be available if everything goes normal," the Spaniard stated during his pre-match press conference.
ST: Alexander Isak—Isak is aiming to score in three successive Premier League matches for the first time since January 2025, and Fulham's vulnerable defense should provide him with plenty of motivation. He has managed just one goal in six previous appearances against the west Londoners, however.
